Amanda moved from Wisconsin to Alaska in the early 2000s to attend college at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, on a gymnastics scholarship. She competed all four years in NCAA Division 1 gymnastics and was named an academic all-American each year. She graduated with a Bachelors in psychology in 2007, and a Bachelors of Science in nursing in 2008. She has experience working in behavioral health, labor and delivery, surgical and general nursing.
Nate graduated medical school in 1996 from the University of Colorado, and completed his residency at Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency in 2004.
Nate served as a flight surgeon in the Air Force for three years on deployments and missions throughout the United States and internationally. He has practiced surgery in Anchorage since 2006.
Nate enjoys travel, biking and playing hockey in his spare time.
